　　CalArts這6個(gè)學(xué)部，第一個(gè)School of Critical Studies只有兩個(gè)專業(yè)，一個(gè)是creative writing，另一個(gè)是美學(xué)與政治。第二個(gè)是跳舞的...你們沒(méi)人想學(xué)吧？第三個(gè)是關(guān)注自然光線這號(hào)的孩子比較想學(xué)的，有這么四個(gè)專業(yè)，真相了：

　　放心，這個(gè)一會(huì)兒肯定講的。然后第四個(gè)第五個(gè)分別是音樂(lè)與戲劇，制作性質(zhì)的專業(yè)與策劃／管理性質(zhì)的專業(yè)都有。第六個(gè)是關(guān)于美國(guó)加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院電影專業(yè)的，這個(gè)下周四講，今天講School of Art的專業(yè)。

CalArts藝術(shù)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)專業(yè)介紹：

　　Program in Art：

　　Program in Art本科是BFA，四年，碩士是MFA，兩年，主要側(cè)重點(diǎn)是現(xiàn)當(dāng)代的藝術(shù)，既有conventional的部分，也有非常前衛(wèi)的部分。

　　這個(gè)專業(yè)的介紹：Encompassing both studio practice and theory,the Program in Art offers instruction in a wide range of media,including painting,drawing,printmaking,photography,digital imaging,sculpture,installation,video,film,writing and performance.

　　CalArts這個(gè)專業(yè)其實(shí)就是個(gè)藝術(shù)的大雜燴，什么都學(xué)，幾乎囊括大部分主流的藝術(shù)媒介，并且實(shí)踐與理論并重。這是優(yōu)點(diǎn)其實(shí)也是缺點(diǎn)，優(yōu)點(diǎn)就是擴(kuò)大視界，you'll know all you need to know about art。非常整體的把當(dāng)代藝術(shù)搬到你的面前，于是，這也是它的缺點(diǎn)，學(xué)的太多，注定無(wú)法樣樣都做到深入（而且還有performance，真是夠全面......）。但注意哦：這是本科，本科階段有這樣打開(kāi)視界的機(jī)會(huì)實(shí)屬難得。所以CalArts這個(gè)專業(yè)真的不錯(cuò)，在本科階段大范圍的接觸，然后碩士階段選擇你最愛(ài)的，和它結(jié)婚。

　　就如加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts官方說(shuō)的：The program does not require students to concentrate on a particular medium;instead,it relies on a flexible structure of individualized instruction and mentoring to emphasize the articulation of ideas,the development of working methodologies and the realization of independent studio work.

　　Graphic Design：

　　藝術(shù)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)Graphic Design專業(yè)，也是學(xué)士4年，碩士2年，但如果你的碩士選的是Graphic Design including a Specialization in Motion Graphics，就是3年。

　　專業(yè)介紹在這里：The Program in Graphic Design prepares its students for a wide range of professional options:print and publication design;web and interface design;motion graphics for broadcast and film;branding,identity and type design;as well as careers in design history and education.

　　藝術(shù)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)專業(yè)提供的選擇還是挺多的，印刷和出版方向的設(shè)計(jì)，網(wǎng)頁(yè)啊頁(yè)面啊這個(gè)方向的，動(dòng)態(tài)的像是廣告啊電影啊這個(gè)方向的，以及比較標(biāo)簽化的。當(dāng)然，如果你想搞研究，或是想做設(shè)計(jì)相關(guān)的教育工作者，加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts也有你想要的?？傊较蛴械氖?，看你怎么選。

　　此外：The program emphasizes both practical and conceptual skills,and enables each designer to integrate a command of visual language with imagination,theory and technology.

　　就是說(shuō)，雖然設(shè)計(jì)時(shí)隔很實(shí)踐的專業(yè)，很重作品的專業(yè)，但是CalArts的藝術(shù)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)，你也需要培養(yǎng)你的conceptual ability，會(huì)想，會(huì)有條理有系統(tǒng)的構(gòu)思，也是教學(xué)的一大重點(diǎn)。

　　Photography and Media：

　　同上，學(xué)士4年，碩士2年。然后專業(yè)的介紹看完后，感覺(jué)加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts的攝影和紐約視覺(jué)藝術(shù)學(xué)院SVA、羅德島設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院RISD、普瑞特藝術(shù)學(xué)院Pratt、帕森斯設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院Parsons等這些以前寫(xiě)過(guò)的，還挺不一樣的。

　　介紹如下：With its roots in still photography,the Program supports both graduate and undergraduate students in a broad range of media and approaches,including still and moving images,installation,new media,sound,performance and publication,all grounded in conversations about the histories of photography and media,the politics of representation,the changing role of cameras and photography in our daily lives,social documentary and activism.

　　作為一個(gè)攝影與媒體的交叉專業(yè)，它涵蓋著靜態(tài)圖像，動(dòng)態(tài)圖像，裝置，新媒體，聲音藝術(shù)，依舊有performance...，還有攝影與媒體的一些歷史啊理論啊，還有politics of representation?這個(gè)有點(diǎn)迷...，還一些比較激進(jìn)的東西。不過(guò)放心，這一些都是roots in photography，學(xué)啥，都是植根于攝影的，跑不偏。

　　Art and Technology：

　　這是個(gè)碩士專業(yè)，2年，感人的是，我終于找到了一個(gè)有課程設(shè)置的...CalArts的專業(yè)介紹確實(shí)詳細(xì)到秒殺很多院校官網(wǎng)，但是課程設(shè)置課可真難翻。

　　課程設(shè)置：The Program interrogates the relationship between technology and art by incorporating innovation,multiple disciplines and diverse cultures into the student’s creative process.

　　課程真相：主要是一個(gè)探討藝術(shù)與科技的專業(yè)，看看新的技術(shù)，新的媒介能給藝術(shù)能帶來(lái)什么樣的可能性。會(huì)涉及到一些黑科技，新材料什么的。

　　Program in Film and Video：

　　BFA以及MFA都有的，是兩個(gè)電影專業(yè)里比較基礎(chǔ)的那一個(gè)，專注于用電影來(lái)表達(dá)自己的想啊，The Program in Film and Video is designed for students who use film and video as media for personal expression and exploration—those artists for whom independent film and video is a calling and not simply a mode of production.CalArts的這個(gè)專業(yè)是為了讓學(xué)生們用影像的方式完成自我表達(dá)，完成自我的探索，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的想法，并通過(guò)影像把自己所發(fā)現(xiàn)的展示出來(lái)。在加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts，電影不僅是視覺(jué)信息，不僅僅是產(chǎn)品，是工具，更多的，它是一個(gè)人思想的載體。

　　大部分學(xué)校的電影專業(yè)留學(xué)都比較重視制作，實(shí)踐操作一般都會(huì)占總學(xué)分的半數(shù)以上，但在加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts，film and video前兩年比較重視的，確是critical study。不是說(shuō)技術(shù)能力不重要，你學(xué)電影的呀，這些當(dāng)然是重中之重，但CalArts也同樣看重電影理論，比如，電影史，電影流派，以及一些文學(xué)知識(shí)。個(gè)人覺(jué)得這很對(duì)?。。?！有人文素養(yǎng)的作品才是藝術(shù)品啊，有藝術(shù)價(jià)值文學(xué)價(jià)值的電影，國(guó)內(nèi)現(xiàn)在，急缺。

　　這是官方原話：Critical studies classes are a vital part of the curriculum,especially during the first two years of the undergraduate program;and film and video artists are expected to know the histories and theoretical traditions of their chosen media,so that they can make fully informed artistic decisions during the development of their work.

　　Film Directing：

　　相比之下這個(gè)就比較專了，只有MFA，Master，專攻導(dǎo)演。一般的master都是兩年，而這個(gè)呢，是三年。The curriculum covers the fundamental aesthetic and technical components of film directing,with additional emphasis placed on screenwriting,acting,scene study,and critical thinking。官方講的很清楚，最基礎(chǔ)的是美學(xué)，以及基礎(chǔ)，還會(huì)適當(dāng)?shù)慕佑|一些劇本寫(xiě)作，表演，分鏡啊，還有理論知識(shí)等等。

　　前兩個(gè)學(xué)期是classes in filmmaking fundamentals，每個(gè)學(xué)期結(jié)束都要出一個(gè)電影作品。之后四個(gè)學(xué)期呢，有6門(mén)導(dǎo)演課，兩個(gè)special topic，以及三門(mén)選修課，官方有特別說(shuō)明，這個(gè)選修課要放眼整個(gè)加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts留學(xué)去選擇，不能拘于電影。

　　在有就是，F(xiàn)DP students must attend the ongoing Guest Artist Workshop。必須要參加藝術(shù)家工作坊，學(xué)校會(huì)不定期邀請(qǐng)藝術(shù)家來(lái)學(xué)校開(kāi)講座啊，工作坊啊，這些，導(dǎo)演專業(yè)的學(xué)生是必須必須必須要出席。知道為什么嗎，因?yàn)橥ǔＧ闆r下，學(xué)校請(qǐng)來(lái)的藝術(shù)家都是影視工作者什么的，最近就有請(qǐng)到演員Ed Harris，我特別喜歡的電影the hours里面他有演一個(gè)重要的角色，還請(qǐng)到了致命ID的導(dǎo)演，總之就是，強(qiáng)制你參加是為你好哦。

　　另外電影專業(yè)的長(zhǎng)期合作伙伴：迪士尼，皮克斯，夢(mèng)工廠，?？怂?，索尼......

　　Theatre：

　　戲劇專業(yè)第一次寫(xiě)，因?yàn)楹孟駴](méi)有太多童鞋藝術(shù)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)這個(gè)，但本著科普的心情，還是簡(jiǎn)單寫(xiě)一下。加州藝術(shù)學(xué)院CalArts的戲劇有單獨(dú)的一個(gè)學(xué)部，從戲劇導(dǎo)演專業(yè)，戲劇編劇專業(yè)，戲劇表演專業(yè)，到戲劇制作（燈光專業(yè)，舞美專業(yè)，服裝專業(yè)），一應(yīng)俱全，特別吸引人喲。這些專業(yè)都是BFA,MFA都有的，性價(jià)比高一些的就是Theatre Technical Design，聲音控制，舞臺(tái)搭建，燈光設(shè)計(jì)，一臺(tái)劇的所有技術(shù)支持都會(huì)涉獵。

　　說(shuō)到這個(gè)呢，偷偷科普一下，一場(chǎng)話劇中，除了最最重要的劇本，還有另外一個(gè)東西，名叫technical script，也叫prompt script，就是技術(shù)方面的劇本，演員的走位到哪時(shí)開(kāi)什么燈進(jìn)什么音樂(lè)，都在這個(gè)“技術(shù)劇本上”，演員需要?jiǎng)”荆溆喙ぷ魅藛T呢，則需要這個(gè)“技術(shù)劇本”。
